he he – I just love these. Especially little W. here in the last image who just LOVES his bike and was zooming all over the place. I don’t think his smile could’ve gotten any bigger. And the twins were so cute being pulled around the yard by Dad. ♥

My, my how time flies. You know I photographed little C. (the older boy here) when he was just born all the way through becoming a big brother and now with him and little brother G. turning one. The end of another baby plan, but not the last time I’ll be seeing this beautiful family.

For little G’s first birthday portraits we hung out at a little farm up in Davidson where we captured not only first birthday portraits but some really fun family portraits too! There were soooo many great shots, I had a really hard time narrowing down which ones to post on here. I wanted to post them all but got it down to just under 20 which turns out to probably be the most images from a session in a blog post ever!

After hanging out at the farm it was back to the house for a cake smash (which you can only see a picture of if you’re a facebook fan of ours). Such a fun time as always with the D. Family!! Hope you enjoy these shots as much as I enjoyed taking them.

I’ve been photographing this gorgeous family since C. was a baby, now he’s three and his little brother L. just turned one! These boys know how to have a good time and we had a blast at their session over the weekend.

L. and his buddy Brutis (talk about a gentle giant) love to hang out in the front window and watch the world.

This session is the last one of L.’s baby plan, but its not the end! I hope to see him and his brother again this fall!!

Oh I had The Best time hanging out with little T and his big sister S last week. They had so much energy and were so stinkin’ cute together.

I love the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. Zada Janes has to be my favorite breakfast spot in all of Charlotte. Actually I have a ton of favorites spots in that area. Any excuse to go over there is perfect for me, so I was thrilled when I got a call from the K. family to photograph their little boy. What a wonderful family!! I had a great time during the session and got to stop at my favorite spot for some lunch on the way home!

Today is my birthday and I thought I’d commemorate this day with a post about the very people who inspired me to do children’s photography in the first place.

A common question I get is “how long have you been doing photography?”. The answer is: literally, for as long as I can remember. But photographing children came when my oldest nephew was born. He’s 10 and a half years old now. I must have well over a thousand pictures of him. Since then my sister has had two more gorgeous kids who I adore (and photograph) just as much. They are so adorable, incredibly smart, fun fun fun, and I love them to bits. I don’t get to spend as much time with them as I’d like since I live in North Carolina, but when I do…I always have the best time. Love you guys!
