I love doing family portrait sessions – it has to be one of the most rewarding things about being a photographer is to capture the genuine love and happiness that exists in a family. I know these kind of images are the ones I treasure most when I look back at my family albums and I like to imagine these are the kinds my client’s will enjoy and cherish most too.

Took a drive up to Blowing Rock last week to meet up with this lovely family for some outdoor fall fun. I know seeing that its warm enough down here to have a baby in just a diaper is going to make all my northern friend jealous!! Gotta love the southern weather!! On my back to Charlotte on 321 I started noticing all of these police cars along the highway blocking intersections and driveways. At first I thought, “wow this is a lot of speed traps!” Then I remembered…the President was coming through later that day. It was quite an ordeal, can you imagine its like that everyday for him where ever he goes? Crazy.

The leaves are starting to really change here in Charlotte in some places and I couldn’t be more excited about all of the session I have coming up. I do still have a small handful of 2011 dates still open, so if you haven’t booked your session yet…give me a shout because time is running out!! Ha – that rhymed! :p

Another fall birthday baby! little adorable P. here just turned one – he and his family were so much fun to photograph. We had a great time laughing and enjoying the gorgeous fall weather!!! This really is the best time of year.

This little beauty and I share a birthday (October 12th). So its no wonder we got along so well! Well happy birthday little E., see you in 6 months for the final session in your baby plan!

We were fortunate not to get effected by Hurricane Irene last weekend aside for a  bit of wind – which we made the most of by getting some kites and spending some good ‘ol fashioned family time together.

seems as though I have a lot of baby plans wrapping up lately. here miss T. at our final session in her baby plan and what a wonderful way to complete the story of her last 12 months then and outdoor portrait session during the afternoon at the Greenway. such a sweet loving family I’ve had such a great time this past year. I look forward to seeing little miss T. again soon.

Meet little W. such a smiley happy guy and such a fun Charlotte baby photography session!

Wow  – its has been HOT! But, not to be defeated by the heat, we’ve found a way to seize the opportunity to capture some adorable pictures of some classic summertime fun – playing in the water!!! Don’t you just love little G.’s bathing suit!!!! This was actually her one year old session – I’ve been  photographing her since she was just a bump in mom’s belly and now she is running around and full of spunk. How quickly a year goes by….

I’m so excited for this wonderful family. I photographed little N. when she was brand new (two years agao, time flies!!) Now they are expecting a new addition any day now and I just can’t wait to photograph their newborn..stay posted!!

I love this family. they were one of my very first clients in charlotte. i’ve photographed their two older boys over the past four years and now i’m proud to congratulate them in welcoming their little girl. i’m so happy to be part of capturing these wonderful moments for your family over the years.
